All the latest news about the visa application process for France

Digitization

The France-Visas application allows students to upload digital copies of all required supporting documents as soon as they complete their visa application online. This recommended approach will expedite the process with the external service provider, if one is located in your country of residence, with access to a dedicated counter. Initially, this feature is only available to long-stay student visa applicants residing in a country where the visa application process is outsourced and available online. The requirements for digitization are detailed here .

When validating your request, please check that your documents are legible and correctly integrated into the relevant sections.

Please note that in some countries, if your documents are scanned incorrectly or not at all, our service provider will intervene to correct or scan them during your appointment. This service, if included in the additional service fees, will be charged to you. Therefore, it is advisable to carefully check the potential amount of these fees on the approved service provider's appointment booking website beforehand.

Beware of fraudulent websites

Visa applicants are advised to exercise caution in all transactions with companies claiming to offer assistance in obtaining French visas.

The day of your appointment

On the day of your appointment, you must print and bring with you your receipt and the final paper version of your CERFA form. It must not be marked "DRAFT". If any document listed on your receipt is missing, your visa application may be refused.
